TO MY ENGLISH SPEAKING FRIENDS I MET ON MY JOURNEY IN ASIA

Hello dear friend!

After meeting each other and speaking about what we do (in our free time, for pleasure…), I told you about my music – pretty sure that’s the reason you landed on my website. Unfortunately, you don’t understand a single word because everything is in a weird German dialect. So, here are some informations helping you to understand who I am, what my music is about and what you can find on this website. By the way, I only use this website for sharing information, there are no social media like facebook, instagram, twitter or similar.

I’m an artist from Bern, the capital of Switzerland. In Bern we speak Swiss German and I‘m in love with the dialect of my hometown. That’s why I only do music in my native language. All texts on the website are in Swiss German too, which is untypical, even for an artist from Switzerland. But I like it.

The music I do is my hobby and I do it with a passion. I think it’s pretty unique, because my style is a mix of two different music genres. The first genre I call «swiss chansons» which was popular decades ago. Swiss chansons were sang for example by the «bernese troubadours», I chose my artist name to refer to those genious artists. The second genre is swiss rap, which I fell in love with at a young age and my heart still beats in the tact of such boom bap beats. So when I do music, I tell stories by rhyming, while playing simple guitar chords. Even for native Swiss people it is not always easy to understand my songs when hearing them the first time. That’s why my friends told me to record my songs, which I finally did. You can hear and download my album «Hallo Alltag» (meaning «Hello Daily Life») on my website for free. I’m not interested in making profit by my music, but to give something to the people who like my sound. That’s my part in making our world a better place and it’s also my excuse for being a lazy and selfish person in other situations 🙂

If you want to contact me, you can write an email to info@badour.ch. But, I’m pretty sure, that I will focus on my journey in Asia, so maybe I won’t read all the mails until I’m back in Switzerland sometime in 2023. Or maybe I’m mistaken, bought a guitar at the place we met and made some music with you. That would be great too, even though I could not practice perfoming my songs in the last few month.

However, thank you for visiting my page. I’m glad for meeting you and hope you have fun with my music. Follow your dreams and do what you like, I’m doing the same.

Love

Badour
